A circle of friends

“Our stories are not meant for everyone. Hearing them is a privilege, and we should always ask ourselves before we share: Who has earned the right to hear my story?”

Brene Brown

How do I find you as you step into 2025?

Are you quietly tip-toeing into this year, staying very much in your own lane? Or are you throwing yourself wholeheartedly into whatever comes next? Maybe somewhere in the middle perhaps? Or do you feel a bit uncomfortable and have some fear or anxiety that you are carrying around?

Wherever I find you I hope that you can feel your way forward by really honouring yourself this year. Taking some time to listen to your gut instinct, to go within and to really take up space.

Is it a good time to revisit boundaries, make sure yours are healthy and that you are not compromising too much?

I feel it is really important to check that you are not ignoring those parts of yourself that do REALLY need to be heard and understood.

Is it a good time for you to expand and grow in new ways?

For me I am totally focused on being true to myself and only doing the work that really lights me up.

In my 54th year I think that it is high time that I really listen to my thoughts, being very conscious about shutting down any unhelpful patterns and questioning why these keep coming up for me.

Consider that it is time to tell myself some new stories.

It is also time to travel and to spend time in the sun and be amongst my soul sisters. To learn and to develop some new skills – including learning a new language with my husband – Spanish, with our lovely teacher Tanya. I do feel that we are going to be very much on the ‘move’ this year as our boys are now flying free, so it is time for us to also ‘take flight’. A great time to explore some new places and have some adventures together in this exciting next chapter.

I will also have time back over in Australia and New Zealand as I am going to be there for most of February. I am going to be reunited with girlfriends and have time to myself for the first time in many years. Of course, I will miss my husband and Hazel (our dog) however it is such a gift to be able to go and to take this opportunity.

I have been revamping and tweaking my offerings and as a result I am developing some delicious new workshops. I so look forward to feeling totally connected to my work and to those women who feel drawn to come along and join me.

The focus is going to be on colour theory, how colour impacts our feelings, our mood and mindset.

On aromatherapy and how scent and colour combined can have such a profound impact our mindset and emotional state. Looking at our energy centres and how specific blends can support and enhance our day to day rituals, habits and focus.

How creating a vision board or a collage can really take you into that special place and feeling of ‘flow’. Where nothing else matters, you forget the time, you are able to take a break from the day to day worries and instead you are totally absorbed in that one task.

It is a little reset and a connection to your beautiful creative soul.

The impact that this type of ‘work’ has on our nervous system, our vagus nerve and our overall ‘wellness’ is massive and should not be underestimated.

So of course I would absolutely love to welcome you to my weekly circle, which will begin in the Springtime. These circles will be a time to come together and to be heard. No judgement, no advice, simply some time out for you. To listen and to share. To take stock, to journal and to also be led in a guided meditation. A mini ‘reset’ each week to help you to come back to centre.

There will always be essential oils in the mix and as I am learning more about the power of sound and music, there will be the sacred solfeggio frequencies in the background.

I am learning how colour, essential oils and sound can all be woven together this year to create something really magical.

My new Instagram account is @womenscreativecircles so please do follow me there.

Also try one of my new workshops, if they appeal to you. And if they don’t that is Ok however I do encourage you to go and find something that does.

Something that is new, or something that you used to love doing but had forgotten about. Or revive an old practice, one that you have not had, or maybe made the time to do. Consider how you are spending your time and where you focus your energy. Make sure it fills you up and does not drain you, our time is SO precious.

Find something that takes you out of your usual routine and beyond your comfort zone, so that you grow and expand. In my experience this is quite often where the best shifts and changes happen.

I also offer 1:1 Coaching in person or on line so we can always have a chat about how that works and see if we are a good fit, as I only want the best for you (think your own personal cheerleader).

Wherever you go in 2025 I do hope that our paths cross and that the sun shines on us all.
